Little Hearts

"Little Hearts" is one of those films that kind of sneaks up on you. At first glance,it seems like just another romantic comedy drama, but as the story unfolds, it’s really about so much more than just love or heartbreak. you’ve got Akhil,who’s kind of floundering after failing his EAMCET exam,which, if you're not familiar,is a big deal in the Indian education system. It's like the universe is nudging him to reevaluate what’s really important in life. And you really feel for him. I mean, we've all been there at some point facing setbacks,dealing with disappointments,or just having our hearts broken. So, after his breakup, Akhil winds up in this long term coaching setup, and there’s something relatable about that, right? He’s forced to confront not just the academic pressures but also the more emotional stuff. and when he meets Katyayani, it’s like the spark of something new, that feeling you get when you realize you might actually care about someone. Their chemistry is sort of charming and awkward, which makes it feel genuine. But then, when he gets rejected for a pretty strange reason,it sends him into this spiral. It's almost like a wake up call,forcing him to rethink his approach to relationships. The humor in Akhil’s journey is,I think, one of the highlights. It doesn't try too hard to be funny, which is refreshing. There are these little moments where he tries to win Katyayani over, and they're just so endearing and relatable. Like, he doesn’t really have a master plan,but that’s kind of the point.

It’s all about figuring things out as he goes along. Those scenes are sprinkled with a lightness that balances out the heavier themes of heartbreak and self discovery. but I do wonder if they lean a bit too hard on the comedic side at times. Sometimes it feels like the film is trying to juggle all these elements,and you’re left thinking,“Is this a rom com or a serious drama?” It shifts back and forth, and while that can be entertaining, it also feels like it doesn’t fully commit to either side. Visually, the film captures that youthful vibe of college life pretty nicely. The settings,the colors, everything feels vibrant and alive, which adds to the overall mood. You can almost feel the energy of the campus,the late night study sessions,and those awkward hangouts. but there's also a touch of nostalgia. It kind of reminds you of those days when everything felt like a big deal, from crushes to exams. It's like the film taps into that mix of excitement and anxiety that comes with being young. now,about the performances. Akhil,portrayed by the lead actor, does a decent job of embodying that mix of confidence and vulnerability. You can see him grappling with his feelings, and it’s nice how he captures the nuances of someone who’s just trying to figure life out. on the flip side, Katyayani’s character, while interesting, sometimes feels underdeveloped. She has this enigmatic quality that leaves you wanting to know more about her backstory or motivations.
